Vertebrates - REPTILES

Today we are going to continue the unit 4 VERTEBRATES.
 On the third day we are going to get to know the REPTILES.

CHARACTERISTICS:

REPTILES have:

Most reptiles have a head, a trunk, limbs and a tail.

A reptile's skin is covered with SCALES.




COLD-BLOODED: can NOT keep their body temperature.

They breathe air through their LUNGS.


They are OVIPAROUS.


Female reptiles lay...

  

Most are TERRESTRIAL.


Some are AQUATIC.


REPTILES GROUPS: 
There are four.

Película: "O Apóstolo / The Apostle" (Matinal de cine en el Colegio San Gregorio)

Como os dije, este HALLOWEEN iba a ser diferente.
No vamos a celebrar HALLOWEEN, vamos a celebrar DIFUNTOS.
¿Sabes por qué el día 1 es el DÍA DE TODOS LOS SANTOS?
Mira el cartel y descubrirás que vamos a hacer este jueves.

Este es el trailer de la película:


Antes del día D, haremos una serie de actividades para informarmos mejor de que es eso de los difuntos, la noche de las ánimas, el día de todos los santos...etc.
La actividad será muy fácil, en casa preguntando a vuestras familias o conocidos tenéis que transmitir una historia sobre está temática (también lo podéis inventar).
Habrá tres posibles modalidades:
1. Escribir en el muro una historia.
2. Crear un podcast con la página VOCAROO.  (Inserta el link en el muro)
3. Crear un vídeo contando la historia tu mismo. (Inserta el link de tu vídeo subido en tu canal de youtube.)

Let's DEVELOP COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS.

We will use this presentation to DEVELOP COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS in our Kindergarten students. 

We will use it on a daily basis at the begining of everyday English lesson after setting the calendar with the leader of the day. (First we will ask to the leader, then the leader we will choose one partner to ask the questions). 

We will add to this presentation new questions every week.

Tutoría Día del DOMUND.

El Domingo 20 de Octubre de 2013 celebraremos el día del DOMUND (Domingo Mundial de la Misiones) ese día recordamos qué son los misioneros y valoramos su trabajo diario allá donde estén.

PERDER PARA GANAR


En el vídeo podemos ver cómo los esfuerzos tienen su recompensa, cómo el haber "perdido" tiempo en el camino y en la lucha con el mono, tiene su recompensa final: SER MONJE.

¿Qué cosas en la vida nos hacen "perder" pero al final nos hacen ganar? ¿El tiempo de estudio? ¿El esfuerzo diario? ¿Reconocer errores?


¿Qué vemos en el cartel? Es una fórmula matemática en que a través de la FE en Jesús y practicando la CARIDAD queriendo a los demás, ayudándoles, haciendo el bien eso es un Misionero. Veámos este trailler de un corto que se titula: EL MILAGRO DE MAO.



¿Qué personajes puedes identificar claramente en el vídeo?
¿Cuál era el sueño que perseguía MAO?
¿Desaparece su sueño ante los problemas?
¿Quién creéis que le ayuda a seguir soñando y perseguir ese sueño?
¿Es importante el papel del Misionero?
¿Crees que el misionero está perdiendo o ganando?

PASEMOS A DIVISAR EL MUNDO QUE TENEMOS A NUESTRO ALREDEDOR, LO MÁS CERCANO.

  • ¿Podemos encontrarnos situaciones donde alguien necesite de nosotros alrededor nuestro?
  • ¿Conoces gente a tu alrededor que es capaz de "perder" para que otros ganen?
  • ¿Que serías capaz de "perder" tú para que otros ganen?
Reflexionad en parejas que seríais capaces de "perder" para que otros ganen, cómo podríais ser vosotros también pequeños misioneros en vuestro mundo, en el recreo, con la gente con la que nos cruzamos día a día. Con vuestra idea podemos publicar un TWEET utilizando el hashtag #YOSOYDOMUND

ARTHROPODS

Today we are going to learn about ARTHROPODS.
But first we are going to review about animals and invertebrates.


WHAT IS AN INVERTEBRATE?



The Arthropods are an invertebrate group.


Arthropods have an external exoskeleton.


There are four arthropods groups:

INSECTS


An insect´s body is divided into three parts: head, thorax and abdomen.


The thorax has six legs.


ARACHNIDS


Have eight legs.

The body is divided into two parts:



CRUSTACEANS


Have ten or more legs.

The body is divided into two parts:



MYRIAPODS



Have many legs.
