Esta semana estamos celebrando la Semana de San Gregorio,. La semana de fiestas del colegio. Una semana en la que tratamos de recordar la historia de nuestro colegio, de los hermanos, de la presencia de nuestro centro en Aguilar de Campoo y la comarca. Pero también tratamos queremos tener presenta la historia de nuestros alumnos en el centro, de lo que ellos han vivido aquí desde que llegaron, qué es el colegio en sus vidas y los momentos que poco a poco han ido guardando dentro de si. Con estos vídeos los alumnos de 5º han querido resumir qué es el Colegio San Gregorio para ellos y los momentos más importantes.

Simple Machines: "Physics in our daily lives"
FUNDAMENTACION LEGISLATIVA DEL PROYECTO SEGÚN ORDEN EDU/519/2014, de 17 de junio, por la que se establece el currículo y se regula la implantación, evaluación y desarrollo de la educación primaria en la Comunidad de Castilla y León.
Curso 5º de EP, Área Ciencias de la Naturaleza, bloque 5 La tecnología, objetos y máquinas.
CONTENIDOS:
CRITERIOS DE EVALUACIÓN:
ESTÁNDARES EVALUABLES:
1.1. Identifica diferentes tipos de máquinas, y las clasifica según el número de piezas, la manera de accionarlas, y la acción que realizan.
1.2. Observa, identifica y describe algunos de los componentes de las máquinas.
1.3. Observa e identifica alguna de las aplicaciones de las máquinas y aparatos, y su utilidad para facilitar las actividades humanas.
4.1. Efectúa búsquedas guiadas de información en la red.
4.2. Conoce y aplica estrategias de acceso y trabajo en Internet.
4.3. Utiliza algunos recursos a su alcance proporcionados por las tecnologías de la información para comunicarse y colaborar.
4.4. Usa de manera autónoma el tratamiento de textos (ajuste de página, inserción de ilustraciones o notas, etc.)
COMPETENCIAS BÁSICAS:
Let's start with a new Natural Science topic. This time we will learn about SIMPLE MACHINES. We will start with a video and a THINKING ROUTINE: Generate, Sort, Connect and Elaborate.

- Máquinas y aparatos. Tipos de máquinas. Utilidad y ejemplos en la vida cotidiana.
- Tratamiento de textos. Búsqueda guiada de información en la red. Control del tiempo y uso responsable de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.
CRITERIOS DE EVALUACIÓN:
- Conocer los componentes y los principios básicos que rigen máquinas y aparatos diferenciando y enunciando ejemplos de máquinas simples de uso frecuente.
- Emplear estrategias de búsqueda y selección de información en la red.

- Al finalizar el proyecto el alumno será capaz de exponer oralmente el funcionamiento de una máquina simple usando los conectores, el vocabulario y la estructura apropiada.

- Al finalizar el proyecto el alumno será capaz de exponer toda la información y su aprendizaje a través de diferentes herramientas web.
- Aprender a aprender.
- Al finalizar el proyecto el alumno será capaz de elaborar un mapa mental con los contenidos del proyecto, así como reflexionar sobre su aprendizaje y el camino seguido a través de su diario de aprendizaje.
- Sentido de iniciativa y espíritu emprendedor.
- Al finalizar el proyecto el alumno será capaz de trabajar en equipo con independencia del role que tenga, estableciendo objetivos a corto y medio plazo.
- Competencia matemática y competencias básicas en ciencia y tecnología.
- Al finalizar el proyecto el alumno será capaz de expresar su aprendizaje sobre la máquinas de forma científica.
Let's start with a new Natural Science topic. This time we will learn about SIMPLE MACHINES. We will start with a video and a THINKING ROUTINE: Generate, Sort, Connect and Elaborate.
VISUAL THINKING: Following the routine at the end each group should have a mind map in which everybody has connected the idea. Using the basis of all of the we are going to create a big one the whole class together. This will be the guide for this project.
Once you have created the mind map we are going to learn definitions and concrete things about each simple machine.
THE LEVER:
A lever is a rigid bar which is balanced on a point the fulcrum. We usus to transmite force. We apply the force to the end of the lever and we move the load which is at the other end.
Depende on where we place the force and the load we can have three different kind of levers.

- Class 1 lever.
- Class 2 lever.
- Class 3 lever.
THE WHEEL:
A wheel is a circular object that rotates around a central axle. Wheels make object roll and the are some of the most important machines in our lives.
THE INCLINED PLANE
The ramp is a simple machine called an inclined plane. We use inclined planes to raise or lower objects with less force.
THE SCREW
If we roll an inclined plane around a cylinder or axis we make a screw. We use screws to fix pieces together when we make furniture or other things.
THE WEDGE
If we joing two inclened planes we get a wedge. We used wedges in many machines or tools to separate two objects when we apply a force. It forms part of axes, knives, etc..
THE PULLEY:
A pulley is a wheel with a channel which guides a rope. When we pull the rope, the object rises. We use the pulleys in lifts.
VISUAL THINKING: Once your teacher has finish to explain you exactly what each simple machine is as a group you are going to complete the class mind map. Let's make a picture about each simple machine in a small piece of paper. Then you will stick it in the class mind map.
Here you have some games to review your learning. They will be very useful for the tasks you have to do later.
After learning concepts and definitions it would be good to apply everything to our real life and it is time for: LEARNING BY DOING. In the following presentation you will discover how to fix your learning. There are three tasks.

Una semana de intercambio en el colegio San Gregorio (18 al 22 de Mayo 2015). Proyecto e-Twinning
Un año más el barco de nuestro proyecto e-Twinning hace escala en el Colegio San Gregorio en Aguilar de Campoo. Este año bajo el nombre: "A touristic guide about my town"A lo largo de esta semana hemos tenido con nosotros a 12 alumnos y 3 profesores del Holy Trinity School (Guildford, England). Durante la semana han compartido tiempo en los diferentes cursos del colegio, con las familias, en diferentes lugares de nuestra villa y de la provincia. También han realizado un proyecto junto con los alumnos de 5º de Primaria del colegio acerca de Castilla y León. Ha sido una semana llena de emociones, grandes momentos, encuentros compartidos, `pero sobre todo a sido una gran aventura de aprendizaje para todos.
A year again the boat of our e-Twinning has stopped in our school, Colegio San Gregorio in Aguilar de Campoo. This year the project is "A touristic guide about my town". Along this last week (18th-22nd May 2015) we had with us 12 students and 3 teachers form Holy Trinity School (Guildford, England). Durante la semana they shared their time with the different levels of the school, with the families, in different places of our town and our province. They also made a project with the Year 5 students of the school about Castilla y León. It was a weel full of emotions and feelings, great moments, above everything it was a big learning adventure for everybody.

Thank you so much for this great experience. It gives the opportunity for our children to see each other, develop a friendship and work together face to face. It allows them to experience another culture, try new food, meet new friends and go to school in another country - it is a unique experience and one the students will remember forever.
It would not be possible without the support of Colegio San Gregorio or without the hospitality of the families and teachers here. We look forward to having students from San Gregorio visit us again soon and we will come back next year so a new group of students can learn from this fantastic opportunity.

Muchas gracias por esta gran experiencia. Ha dado la oportunidad a nuestros alumnos la oportunidad de ver a sus compañeros de nuevo, desarrollar su amistad y trabajar juntos cara a cara. Todo ello permite experimentar en otra cultura, probar nueva comida, conocer nuevos amigos e ir al colegio en otro país. Es una experiencia única que nuestros alumnos recordarán siempre.
Todo esto no sería posible sin el apoyo del Colegio San Gregorio y sin la hospiltalidad de las familias y los profesores. Esperamos que pronto podamos tener en nuestro colegio la visita de alumnos del Colegio San Gregorio y nosotros volveremos el curso que viene con un nuevo grupo de estudiantes y poder aprender de esta fantástica oportunidad.
